Our tours take you to great overlooks, points of interest, and exhibits.  We offer first-class itineraries that are unique and personal.  We teach as we travel, conducting educational scenic tours that put you in touch with the people and the environment that we visit.  We believe your time traveling between locations is as important as the destinations. Our extensive knowledge of the entire West and Southwest USA makes it possible for us to provide your group with a most informative and excellent first-class tour.  A vacation in the American West and Southwest offers breathtaking beauty and geologic diversity.  "Tour The Southwest" provides the best available travel tour vacations for individuals, families and small to large size groups.

When possible it is best to plan and reserve your tour one year in advance. This will allow us to provide you with the best accommodations and with one of our most experienced tour guides.

THE SCENIC AMERICAN WEST

America’s western states contain the largest number of scenic parks in the world.  The National Parks of the west are America’s Wonderlands and truly America’s best idea.  They beckon you to unspoiled nature rich in wildlife, desert wildflowers and a wonderland of alpine blossoms.  You can explore the labyrinth of the many canyons in Utah and Arizona from Canyonlands National Park to the Antelope Slot Canyon and the Grand Canyon.  You can revel in the warm sunshine along the pacific coastline in places like Monterey, Pebble Beach, and Laguna Beach.  You can climb the alpine mountains in parks such as the Olympic, Rocky Mountain and Glacier National Parks.  You can raft mighty rivers such as the Colorado, the Snake, and the Missouri.

We do custom private tours to all West and Southwestern USA locations including Monument Valley, Antelope Canyon, Marble Canyon, the south and north rims of the Grand Canyon National Park, Saguaro National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Zion National Park, Canyon de Chelly, Capital Reef National Park, Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Mount Rushmore National Memorial, Crazy Horse Memorial, Custer State Park, Grand Teton National Park, Death Valley National Park, Yosemite National Park, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park, Joshua Tree National Park and all the other National Monuments and scenic locations in between.

THE SCENIC SOUTHWEST

The Southwest USA is the most geographically diverse region in the United States.  Images of the Southwest include Alpine Mountains, dramatic bluffs and cliffs, grand and colorful canyons, lakes and rivers, and impressive deserts.

The American Southwest contains the largest collection of the world’s natural wonders.  Some of the most popular include the Grand Canyon National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Zion National Park, Arches National Park, and Carlsbad Caverns National Park that draw people from all over the world.  Popular cultural sites include Mesa Verde National Park, Monument Valley Navajo Nation Park, Canyon de Chelly, and Chaco Canyon National Historical Park.

The human history of the Southwest dates back over 10,000 years and is preserved in unique cliff and pueblo dwellings, rock art, tools, and pottery.  Today’s Native Americans reflect much of the culture and arts of the past.

In general, the Southwest USA includes Colorado, western Oklahoma, western Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, and parts of southeastern California.

GRAND CIRCLE TOURS OF THE SOUTHWEST

Some of our most popular tour sites are in the "Grand Circle" area .  You can visit all the best sites of the American Southwest USA on one of our exclusive custom scenic Grand Circle Tours.  The truly great Southwest USA landscape contains a fabulous concentration of National Parks, National Monuments, State Parks and National Forests.  This creation of scenery has an infinite beauty that is hard to imagine, much less comprehend.  At every turn there is a variety of color, scenic views, canyons, mountains, rivers, rocks, cliffs, spirals, monuments and rivers that beckon the traveler to enjoy this circle of adventure in their own unique manner.  Our sample Grand Circle Adventure Tour itinerary travels a 1000-mile to 1500-mile loop through what we believe is the most spectacular country on earth.
