Grand Canyon Tours by Tour The Southwest .com LLC take you to great overlooks, points of interest, and exhibits. We offer first-class custom itineraries for all of our tours that are unique and personal. We teach as we travel, conducting educational tours that put you in touch with the people and the environment that we visit. Our Grand Canyon tour guides can make a significant difference in the quality of your visit. They will be sure you do not miss those places that are often overlooked due to a lack of information or time, helping you to enjoy the best the Grand Canyon has to offer.
Most of our Grand Canyon tours stop at Bright Angel Point, Grandview Point, and Mather or Yavapai Point. The Visitors' Center at the Village displays information regarding history and geology. On our "Village Tour" you will be able to stroll along the South Rim and visit historic buildings and museums. We thoroughly enjoy sharing with you our extensive knowledge of the history, archeology, geology, floral and fauna. One of our regular tour stops is the Watchtower at Desert View overlook on the edge of the eastern entry to the National Park. The winding staircase inside the stone tower takes you past traditional Indian paintings. At the top you will appreciate vistas of the Painted Desert, the eastern entry the Colorado River into the grand canyon, and the surrounding forested hillsides.
Many of our itineraries travel through portions of the Painted Desert and the Navajo Indian Reservation. We visit the Cameron Trading Post and Museum with a dining room that features a view of the Little Colorado River Gorge and displays fine Indian crafts and paintings. After dining, you will want to browse this historic and authentic trading post to see or purchase quality Southwest Indian arts and crafts. At the Little Colorado River Gorge overlook, Native American artisans display a variety of crafts including rugs, pottery, and jewelry. They will gladly pose for photographs along with their works. The Gorge itself will literally take your breath away as you look hundreds of feet down to the river winding its way along the bottom of the steep, narrow canyon. The Little Colorado River runs into the Colorado River at the east end of the National Park.
We can customize itineraries to your specifications and personal desires, we can also arrange for all accommodations, food, access fees, transportation and guide. We will make any reservations as needed. We also offer tours that are luxury oriented. We can do private chauffeured corporate class custom itineraries using limousines, luxury vehicles or sport utility vehicles.
We have guides who specialize in particular areas of interest such as photography, anthropology, archaeology, geology, native Americans, and backpacking wilderness adventures. Click on GUIDES for more information about our guides. STEP-ON-GUIDES are available to accompany you in your own vehicle or motor coach.
Colorado River Rafting is offered as an option on many of our multi-day Private Custom Tours.
